Photographer’s Note
In the late '70s, the authorities of Galati have invited a number of artists to create large metal sculptures (the material was chosen to illustrate its importance for the city: Galati has the largest Iron Steel Works in Romania, accounting for >50% of the country's steel production). Two editions of the Metal Sculpture Camp were hosted by the city. The best creations were placed along the Danube river banks, and quickly became city landmarks for what is probably the most popular recreation spot in Galati.
This is the largest of them. It was named "Septenarius" and was created by Ingo Glass in 1976. The artist built the sculpture using two main poles (symbolizing Germany and Romania - the first and last countries on the Danube) and five side legs, as the Danube at the time went through seven European countries. This image was taken last Summer, the red paint has somewhat faded in time, but I found those spots even more interesting.

nice focus color and composition. the person in the background provides a good sense of scale.

Catalin, this is close to perfection. To get there I suggest drawing the camera 1-2mm up to get some space between the tip of that sculpture and the frame. The other element would be a single person or a couple on the right part of the picture to give some reference of size.
