The Poppy Fairy Photo

Photographer’s Note

She looks like she's born out of those poppy flowers in the middle of all that green. I thought I'd call her the "Poppy Fairy". It sounded pretty strange to me so I thought I'd google it and to my surprize there is such a character, although, I don't know how popular it is.
I thought about framing the picture but eventually I decided there's enough framing in the photo itself.
By the way, some of my friends who've seen this shot before doubted those were poppy flowers. Although they look quite different compared to the most common poppy flower I'm sure they are just a different species of poppy. And if I may say so, I think it's a more beautiful species :-)

Buna Iuli,
Ce grozava! Compozitia pare luata dintr-un film pentru copii, unde ei sunt micuti fata de obiectele si natura din jur. Imi place aici fetita linga florile care apar uriase si care intr-adevar sunt foarte frumoase! Zimbetul e si el grozav; fetita e incintata de fotografie! Nu in ultimul rind, palaria e si ea de efect. Si mai imi place vegetatia din jur -- fetita pare sa fi rasarit pe pamint exact acolo...

Hello Iulian,
This is a lovely, candid portrait, and the little girl is wonderful. I think the flowers and the greenery behind her really make the photo stand out. It reminds me of the way Anne Geddes uses nature in her photos of children. Very nice capture.
