This photograph is taken from a car, when I visit in winter of 16 years ago. Bucharest is located in southeastern Romania, and is the greatest city in the capital in Romania, and is a central city of the culture, industry, and finance of Romania. Agedly, although Romania was a territory in the Roman Empire, after building the kingdom of the people from Gort and continuing to the end of the 4th century, it was annexed the Huns empire. Then, the nomadic people from Central Asia interchanged and it governed Romania. After that, the people from Bulghar stored Romania in the territory, and the rule continued till 1000 A.C. When it entered at medieval times, there were three dukedoms in Walachia, Moldavia, and Transylvania. It is not perfect independence and was under rule of Ottoman Empire or the Habsburg family. The postwar years were communized with the pressure of the Soviet Union army in 1940. Imperial Rule was abolished and the Rumanian people republic was materialized in 1947. It was begun under Nicolae Ceausescu's dictatorship to recite the one-country communism gradually distinguished from the Soviet Union, and connection with the west side was also strengthened. In 1989, Nicolae Ceaușescu's dictatorship was knocked down and democratized by Rumania revolution. It joined in European Union (EU) on January 1, 2007. Anyway, the history of Romania located in the Balkan Peninsula is complicated and is difficult to understand. That it is visible in the center of a photograph is the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, and is a multi-purpose building containing both chambers of the Romanian Parliament. the Palace is the world's largest civilian building with an administrative function, most expensive administrative building and heaviest building. Nicolae Ceaușescu named it the People's House also known in English as the Palace of the People.

A very interesting note and capture. A fine postcard from another era, well taken with the lampposts framing the building. A good scan of this old documentary scene.

This is the best weather to show off the winter tones of this part of town and it also works compositionally in this crop, i think what so nice about this image, is the way it benefits from brightness, it's a main feature of that building in the background and the detail throughout the scene seem to me to be enhanced by the subtle light and bit of yellow together make this an intriguing shot. Great work, Congrats
