Photographer’s Note

Romanian Atheneum was designed by Albert Galleron, a French architect, for the Romanian Atheneum Cultural Society. Though it was already opened on 1988, building continued until 1897. The project was conceived by the diplomat Constantin Exarcu and the money for the completion of the building were gathered in a public collection in which people were asked to "give a leu for the Atheneum" (The "leu" being the currency of Romania). It was restored in 1992 and hence, remains now a pretty picture of Bucharest. Ateneul Roman is a neoclassical building with romantic influences. It is 41 meters high, while the concert hall of Ateneul Roman has some 650 seats, a diameter of 28.5 meters and a height of 16 meters. Romanian Athenaeum is sourounded by a park while a statue of Mihai Eminescu stands in front.

Bonito este templo romano em Bucareste , os detalhes de arquitectura são muito interessante com estas colunas altas , boa inclusão do jardim no primeiro plano , boas cores e luz, parabéns!!

Beautiful shot of an outstanding building. The lighting conditions were quite difficult. The building itself almost looks a tad overexposed due to the dark foreground I suppose. It's always difficult to manage this though. Nonetheless the compsoition has been well chosen, with the building being slightly off center.

The architecture of that building is mangificent and all the details are so beautiful (the dome, the columns, the whole façade)! Your picture is excellent, with perfect sharpness, exposure, depth of field and colors! The pov was very well chosen and the composition is outstanding with all those trees around and this beautiful garden in the lower foreground!

Musze przyznac, ze rumunska architektura powala na kolana iloscia detali oraz jakoscia wykonania(przynajmniej z daleka tak wyglada;). Podoba mi sie sposob, w jaki to przedstawiles- kwiatki na pierwszym planie i doskonale uzupelnienie w tle. Swiatlko naprawde po mistrzowsku siadlo Ci na obiekt.
