Photographer’s Note
A painting of a place behind a cinema, Cronos, in the heart of Bucharest. It's about 2 degrees celius outdoors. I walk out with a group of youngsters from this flick, I look down to take out a sweater from my bag and as I look back up they're all gone. And it's grey, cold, and very empty. Tall buildings tower over this empty parking lot and back alley in the mid november night. A perfect place to photograph, thought the TE man inside me. Others would probably have legged it to the nearest lamppost. And as I put on the smooth Marrabenta Mozambiquean music in my ipod I grooved on out to the street I couldn't possibly have thought of more juxptaposed soundtrack to the streets.
