Another shot from last weekend´s TE-meeting in Romania.

I transfered this one to BW, because the original was all blue, with the exception of the orange/pinkish fortress, somehow not the ideal combination of colours. And the informaton remains in the BW as well, without the disturbing colors.

A little trick for BW conversions: before I convert photos to BW, I usually paint them in one color, be it blue, red, green, yellow, and convert them only after that. This simulates the color-filters used when BW photography was at its peak. The advantage of digital photography is that one can try several filters at home, without the risk of using the wrong one. And one can use partially different filters. For this photo I colored only the part below the waterline in green, and then converted it to BW. This enhanced the contrasts of the reflection, and made it look somehow more brilliant.
