Heavenly light, a photo from Brasov, East

Photographer's Note

I took this photo from the top of the breathtaking, beautiful and very dangerous Piatra Craiului mountains. Location: SE Transylvania. The two peaks in the distance are Postavarul mt. (1799 m) and Piatra Mare mt. (1848 m). The city of Brasov is located somewhere between the two mountains and surrounded by them. I'm going to post more pictures from this mountains in the coming days. I hope you'll enjoy them! Thanks for your critiques!

Its a beautiful photograph, in the thumbnail I thought the sunlight was shining on water...but I see its shining on the top of the clouds..wow..amazing. I look forward to seeing more of the photos you took on this journey!

Nice shot and colors.
I like the ray of sunlight go down on the sea.
On the bottom on your image, the clouds merge whith the sea is beautifull.

Extraordinara fotografia. Tot incerc sa-mi dau seama de unde e facuta. De pe Ascutit se vad mai apropiati Postavarul si Piatra Mare, deci probabil ca e facuta de undeva de mai la sud, probabil La Om. Insa ar fi trebuit sa se vada si Piatra Mica ca are si ea peste 1800 m. Poti sa-mi spui te rog de unde ai facut-o?

Extraordinary photo. I am trying to figure out from where it was taken. From the Ascutit Peak, the Postavarul and Piatra Mare are seen much closer, so I guess it was taken from somewhere to the South, probably La Om Peak. But then the Piatra Mica peak should have also been visible, because it has over 1,800 m. Could you please mention from where you took it?

Again, extraordinary!

Iti intareste credinta in ceva divin,pentru ca lumina aceasta e dumnezeiasca!
Trebuie sa fii foarte fericit ca ai vazut asa ceva,iar noi iti multumim pentru ca ne-ai impartasit si noua pe TE!

This is stunning, Eddie, a moment of incredible natural beauty very timely seen and captured. Looks like a shot taken from an airplane, but as I realized you took it from the summit, I became a bit jealous:)), as I imagine how it looked like in real life...

As your more recent submission, you've again caught wonderful light and an awe-inspiring see of fog. The rays of the sun and illumination of the fog with the dark mountains peaking out of it is just amazing.
Again I'm a bit irritated by the border you've used.
I think without it you could also use less saturation that leaves more room for the finer colours, which there are plenty of. See my workshop to get an idea what I'm talking about. Never mind if you don't agree, it's just my personal point of view (and taste).

I don't know if I can top the things that everybody else said, but I just wanted to congratulate you for taking this amazing photo. The texture of the whole picture is almost velvety, and I can't express in words the beauty of the colors... heavenly ! I am a mountain lover myself, but I've never seen such beauty. Thanks for sharing with us.
Also, being from Romania, this makes me feel very homesick.

Good, clean composition with an uncluttered frame results in the viewer being able to focus totally on that awesome spectacle. I love these kinds of images and this one is noe exception.

Gorgeous photograph.Really rare sunlight caputure .The lights and atmosphere are perfect.Clouds are like a sea here.Just it is little abit so soft.
