It is Sunday afternoon. The children wait in front of the Black Church in Brasov. Her father is a pastor and preach at church.
"Biserica Neagră ("The Black Church"), a celebrated Gothic site - the building dates from 1477, when it replaced an older church (demolished around 1385). Its acquired the name after being blackened by smoke from the 1689 great fire...." (Wikipedia.org)

A fine photo of two small children whose thoughts seem to be very far away. At least there seems to be no awareness of your camera. You have converted this to B&W with a very beautiful greyscale. The only thing that makes me puzzled is how you could find out that the girl's father was preaching in the church.

a masterful conversion to mono has accentuated the charm of the children, the little girl claspes her doll whilst the boy amuses himself with the toy.
A lovely study of childhood with excellent tones and fine clarity.
Best wishes Les.

An absolutely perfect picture of children. This could very well be compared to many "classical" children pictures. It is absolutely adorable.

They don't look very happy this pair of youngsters, perhaps they have to stand outside the church every Sunday? In any event, this is a fine well presented street capture. As is so often the case with portraits, black and white is a good choice, allowing the viewer to concentrate on the subject without being distracted by the colours. Technically, the image has a fine range of tones and very good clarity.

an immaculate B&W study this, and one that is instantly recognisable as your work. It is a superbly executed image, but then you always post high quality images. An endearing and beautiful piece of imagery. Well done, I would image their Father would love a copy of this stunning shot!
Enjoy the weekend - Brian.

i don't know why but this photo has a timeless taste. wonderful b&w rendering and i like a lot the not so caring attitudes of pastor's children, even though you seem to be not too far from them.

Belle prise de vue en noir et blanc de ces deux enfants qui attendent près de l'église. La lumière et la netteté sont excellentes. Bien fait.

great choice to present this in black & white ~
the patterns on the fabrics jump out without competing with one another, which they might do were this in color.
but most arresting of all are the expressions on their young faces, especially hers, which is difficult to look away from.
great shot, wolfgang ~
