Away, a photo from Brasov, East

Photographer's Note

Tara Barsei (Barsa County in approx English) is a etnographical and historical region in south-eastern Transylvania, with Brasov as it main city. The photo was taken from the Bran castle, a place which many believe is the castle of Count Dracula. First of all Count Dracula is a legend, and second the ruler after which this character was made had its castle somewhere else.

Beautiful winter shot, Marian - you've had a few beauties lately. I really like how the road winds through this one, leading into the hillside and taking the eye out into the brighter area of the shot. The buildings at the valley floor have a good color to them, muted but bright compared to the monochrome around them. Great sharpness front to back here as well. Thanks!

Bonjour Marian,

J'aime beaucoup le point de vue élevé qui nous montre le paysage dans son ensemble. Même si le temps est très gris, les détails et les couleurs ressortent.

A like the curving road which adds superb lead in lines, and the high pov overlooking this picturesque, snow-clad village. I like the graphism, minimalist colour and dark trees against the light snow. Good sharpness & lighting. Tfs!

Wow that's a great POV you obtained there and everything is so beautifully lit and sharp. Difficult to believe that everything is under snow, as we here in Australia melt with the hottest days on record! A detailed and very beautiful photo, thanks for sharing.
