Photographer’s Note

'Lacu Sarat' or 'Lake Salty' is the big natural lake salty from Europe.
the lake contains 'the mud' and mineral water rich in iodine,sulfur and sodium.
especially the iodine is recommended for rheumatism,but the other diseases could benefited by this natural mud.
like you see,i choose a personage muddy;)

Great, it looks like the guy has put on one of those black wetsuits for diving! His expression is priceless. The B&W conversion is very good and the contrast excellent. For the only little minus is the part body on the right. I would prefer the photo without it.

una din fotografii/fotografele mele preferati/preferate e diane arbus (daca mergi pe link-ul de sub citatul care ii apartine ei - vezi pagina mea 'profile' - o sa vezi cateva din fotografiile ei) ... diane arbus e (in special) vestita pt ca fotografia 'freeks' adica ciudati

fotografia asta a ta imi aduce cumva aminte de ea ... nu pt ca omul asta ar fi ciudat in vreun fel - pt ca mai mult ca sigur in 'conditii normale' adica fara 'make-up ul' specific tratamentului cu namol e chiar un om normal cu manifestari 'comme il faut' - ci pt clipa in care l-ai fotografiat, pt mimica, pentru gesturile lui si pentru pozitia corporala din momentul ala (... sau poate si pt ca exact inainte cu cateva minute am vazut un documentar scurt cu/despre diane arbus?)

in orice caz tu ai 'crescut' fotografic foarte mult intr-un timp foarte scurt

... dpv tehnic, ai exagerat cu noise remover - sa nu mai faci

buna Flory, buna documentar foto de la mare neagra cu cura termala. am facu de nainte la fell la Eforie.... sa poate ai contraste prea mult???? pres negru, normal este marea neagra... hihi

But, I will be a little enthusiastic for this one. The subject is very interesting. A muddy man is not often seen around, isn't it? He has a terrific posture, with his shinny eyeglasses, his tight mouth and his opened hands. His attitude speaks a lot. But if I was happy with your previous PP, I think it is not good here. I don't know if you use some noise reduction program, or if the cause is your very low resolution (only 52.75 Ko) but the photo is... muddy! I can also see a thin white line around both guys (often when we are sharpening too much). I think I would have also crop on the left part.
So for me, the photo has a good potential, but the PP let it down.
Well... It was about time for me to come in your gallery. Very interesting photos you have, Flory!

A funny scene and muddy man exoression and also interesting to see the many mud swimmers, B&W is fine, although i would also like to see the color of this mud! ;D The soft BG looks like noise removed but i like the texture too... The piece of guy on the right doesn'r add much, maybe you could have cropped?

I don't think the shot is funny, I think it is very interesting for the purpose of showing us a place that we don't know. This is the base of TE, learning about the world through photography, now if I go to your country some day, will know where to get the mud and mineral water rich in iodine, sulfur and sodium like this guy is getting !!!

I would never miss a funny post as this one is, Flory. Yes, there's an evident problem with the choice of your pp - "smart sharpen"(? I never used it and don't even know what it is), but the theme is very interesting and his pose is good enough to hold our attention. In a way, your pp worked well, because the image looks much more muddy ;-) Crop? yes, a bit on the left would be my choice. More than anything these errors we do are the best ones to learn and improve in the future - not only you, but all of us, since we can read interesting critics, suggestions and conversations. A muddy bath - it can be quite fun...and dirty ;-)

the expression on this guys face is great and the quality and sharpness is outstanding. A good contrast to the 'blackness' are his reflective shades and I'm sure I can see you in there somewhere! A fine capture and conversion to B&W.

here I am again. This shot has the potential to be iconic. He has this look in his face and body that you can't forget. Plus, he has sunglasses and he is muddy...It could have been a nice shot.
It could have been...well, it did not happen (although the picture is having a great success...) because something wrong happened during the post-processing. I don't know what it is, but I think it's wrong!!
But, what a face!!! It could have been...:)

i like the funny and natural posture of the 'muddy' guy who seems to have a lot of fun! a good choice of B&W and the vapors of the water behind have created kind of dreamy atmosphere. Luminosity and sharpness are fine too, I think, I might have crop the body on the right, but that's only a detail ;)
