Photographer’s Note

Orishas é um grupo de rap originário de Cuba. (As) Suas músicas retratam os problemas da periferia de Havana. É muito popular na Europa e na América Latina. Os membros do grupo, Yotuel, Roldan e Ruzzo, conheceram-se em Paris e fundaram a banda, que sofreu influências do hip-hop e de ritmos cubanos e latinos. A banda integra a trilha sonora do filme "Dirty Dancing 2" com o single "Represent Cuba" ao qual juntaram a participação especial de Heather Headley.

O nome "Orishas" é uma alusão à crença dos integrantes nos orixás, entidades tidas como divindades pelos praticantes do candomblé e outras denominações de origem africanas. Isso é evidenciado em algumas de (das) suas letras como "Nací Orichas" e "Canto Para Elewa y Changó".

I have been listing to Orishas most of the time in work today :) 3 albums plus one great track from Carlos Jean's compilation.
absolutely great capture from live show. I love the composition, light and the quality in such a hard conditions. if you have some more from the show I will be glad to see

Ola, Sergio!
Very interesting shot with smashing out of focus limelight.
Seems like the singer's facing us but pity we can't see
much of his face. Maybe if you have waited a bit so the
light comes up on his face?
