Photographer’s Note

A view of the typical old houses at Ribeira ( on the first plan) in Oporto City taken almost at dark night with 15 seconds of exposure.On the background there is the Arrabida bridge wich was ( when constructed in 1963 )the biggest bridge arch on the world made of concrete with 270 meters .It was projected by Edgar Cardoso.

Bonita photo tirada à luz do crepúsculo. Também gosto das notas quando dizem e mostram que também sabemos fazer coisas. Hoje tive a oportunidade de dizer que a albufeira do Alqueva é a maior da Europa. Sinto-me bem!!!

Hello Nuno,
this is a marvellous pink hour. You've done a great job setting up your camera with a great exposure; the result you delivered here is a crisp and perfectly detailed pictures, where even in the darkes area we can see lots of details. The view is stunning with wonderful colours. Excellent job, I like it!

This composition is beautiful! I like the way the golden lights line the water, leading us to the lovely bridge in the background. The patterns and colors in the sky are also beautiful, and the long exposure creates a nice effect on the river.

Very well done with a composition that can easily be split into two with the lower half very effective on its own as it the top half. Together, they make a dramatic scene. I just enjoy looking at the details of the buildings in the lower right corner and the lighting is very, very nice!

That is a very nice composition.

Its a cracking shot of Porto, its a beautiful place and your capture brings back great memories of this place for me. Fantastic composition, the lighting is spot on and so are the colours and detail. The 15 sec exposure has produced a smooth water effect which finishes the scene perfectly. Great work

Beautiful picture indeed. Extremely sharp. The 15" exposure gives a wonderful result. And ... maybe I'll be the first one with a small suggestion : why not crop the top of the picture to get rid of the lightly coloured sky ? it might make for a more "relaxed" view, but then again ... congratulations !
