Region: Municipality- Lisboa / Parish- Lisboa, has a municipal population of 564,477- Portugal).

Theres's no doubt, when you see an image like this you must be sure that's Lisbon. Old trams on a sunny beautiful day as it is normal in my city.. "This kind of transport is very important not even for Lisbon, but for all over the world, it does not produce pollution. Oil price shoul lead countrys to choose alternative energy. Why not follow this one, I love trams and tram loves fresh air, no smoke!

Tram Routes – (information)
The tram network is made up of 5 routes, 3 funiculars (Glória, Bica and Lavra) and 1 lift (Santa Justa).
The network has 59 trams, 10 of them articulated (operating on the 15 route between Algés and the Praça da Figueira), 9 light and 40 traditional.
The tram network covers the 48kms of the city of Lisbon, with 13 of these on dedicated lines.

Hi Filipe, the photo is beautiful with the excellent contrast of the two trams. But I prefer the yellow one (Alges-P.Figueira), since the other one is more touristic and expensive. I also completely agree with your note. Regards, Tolga

Nice composition and POV. The angle of the shot gives the scene nice depth and direction. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The polarizer helped give the scene good contrast and fine saturation.

Olá Filipe,

Um domingo ensolarado no Terreiro do Paço, com os inevitáveis eléctricos a juntarem as suas cores vivas ao amarelo das paredes. Uma imagem demarca de Lisboa... Está muito bem apanhada.

Quanto ao "without pollution", convem ter em atenção que, se por um lado os motores eléctricos por si só não sejam poluentes, já a produção de electricidade é outra história. Se, como acho que é o caso de Portugal (algo bizarro, pelo menos para um país dito "desenvolvido"), uma parte considerável da electricidade provenha do petróleo ou, pior ainda em termos ambientais, do carvão, então as máquinas eléctricas são ainda mais poluentes que as que consomem derivados do petróleo, pois é muito mais eficiente (rentável em termos energéticos) transformar directamente a energia calórica da combustão em energia mecânica do que fazer o "percurso" combustão -> energia mecânica -> electricidade -> energia mecânica. Salvo erro, dos tipos de energia mais importantes, a electricidade é a menos eficiente em termos de rácio entre recursos gastos / recursos "úteis". Tem a vantagem de ser relativamente mais fácil de transportar e ser muito versátil em termos de aplicações de toda a gama de dimensões.

Ou seja, quer-me parecer que no nosso caso, em termos de poluição, o ganho que se tem em usar transportes eléctricos é que a poluição "fica" nas zonas das centrais eléctricas em vez de "vir" para as cidades.

bem interessante essa imagem desses dois eléctricos, com cores bem fortes. Só resta saber se a energia que eles consomem provem de uma fonte de energia limpa né, senão continuam sendo poluidores.

This is a real city picture with the old trams, this type trams are in Belgium almost disappear, maybe a few exemplars.
Nice composition and good presentation, sharpness and clarity are superbe.

HI Filipe,
Lisbon is a very colourful city quite similar to the former Portugese colony of Macau. The colours displayed here in the buildings and the trams are so wonderful. I can wish that they reinstate those old trams in Melbourne. The overhead cables worried many photographers but putting the trams in this context seems perfectly OK.
Great piece of work.

ésta es otra buena composición con los tranvías de Lisboa, con un buen colorido y mucho dinamismo, además de ofrecernos un buen contraste con la bella arquitectura de la ciudad.
Gran trabajo con la luz, y un excelente resultado con la calidad de la imagen y de los colores. El encuadre es muy elegante y efectivo.

Quando dizes que não produz poluição é preciso ter cuidado, pois a energia foi produzida de qualquer maneira. Sei que nós produzimos muita energia por via hidroeléctrica mas não sei nada quanto à que é importada.
De qualquer modo são preferíveis os eléctricos do que os autocarros a gasóleo ou os automóveis. Além de que são bonitos e dão cor à cidade.

PS: como sempre, só li as outras críticas depois de escrever a minha e reparei que o José Pires também foca o mesmo problema da poluição. Enfim, somos dois a pensar no mesmo.

Surely all we wish close by realizations of many dreams also and this, more real - cleannesses of our environment. A lot it changes in this matter, but we must remember that in the large measure depends this just from us ourselves, from this how we want very much to realize own dreams. The small fragment of the splendid city in the superb picture. The splendid point of view, splendidly replete colours and the beautiful light. Trought splendid sharpness the picture very readable.

I like the trams a lot, they are very popular in Riga, my home city. if I remember correctly, the trams were introduced there sometime around 1882, and some of the old-fashioned trams are now used as tourist attraction.
love the colours in this photo, the bright yellow and red under the clear blue sky create a very nice and relaxed mood. very nice shot, my compliments.

Bom dia Filipe, um assunto bem a propósito da crise da gasolina e claro que ao mesmo tempo aproveitar para mostrar a bela Lisboa. Hoje tenho que ir a um jantar em Alfama e vou de certeza de 28 :) Conseguiste aqui uma imagem equilibrada, bem preenchida e cheia de cor e luz. A arquitectura Pombalina e o céu azul ficaram muito bem lá atrás. Gosto do encaixe do cunhal do edifício entre os dois eléctricos. Boa foto.

Hello Filipe, We also have trams, I must agree with you they are a better alternative to petrol driven vehicles. I like your brightly coloured trams, the old buildings in BG & I think I can see also the Portuguese flag flying. Well composed clear shot with good natural looking colours.

you got both in one, the regular and the tourist, nice couple. After a view on the prices I decided to take the regular one and to avoid the money grave of tourist tram. Good diagonal view with the architecture behind and all those cables in the sky.

Como me gustan los tramvias...los conozco pues trabajé en ellos ,en los talleres..(Tramvia Blau,de Barcelona). En esta imagen solo se puede decir que es insuperable en composición,contrastes,color y luz,,en fin,muy buena.

J'aime la clarté de cette composition avec ces deux trams au milieu de la ville sous un beau ciel bleu. C'est tout un symbole.
Il est temps que les grandes villes s'affranchissent de la circulation des voitures particulières.
