Photographer’s Note

Lagos in the Portugues Algarve is a wonderful town with beautiful beaches and rock formations all within walking distance.
i had to use a polariser to take away the glare on the water but it then has the effect of overcooking the sky a bit too much.

Wow! This is just an amazing picture. The first thing that impressed me here was how bold the colours are. Also the great contrasts between the rocks and the sky. I think you compositiom adds a great impact to this picture.

Hi David, this is an amazing view with excellent composition and colours. The FG details are very good too. The formation is similar to the "12 Apostles" in Victoria of Australia.

Wonderful dimension .. beautiful light (and angle of light) .. powerful and beautiful place .. tough range of light .. clouds are maybe a little on edge .. maybe not .. I am tired and probably not the most reliable judge ... wonderful image .. take care, John

The colors are too saturated, but I really like the subject and the composition. If anything, I'd crop out the taller rock on the right side of the photo to bring down the viewer's eyes to the horizon thereby making the scene look more expansive and infinite. Good job though.

I haven't been to Algarve in 12 years I miss those warm waters and stunning beaches... The sky got a bit overcooked as you said but the photo remains superb, it really shows the natural beauty of this wonderful place (all the Algarve coast) that I miss so much.
