Photographer’s Note

Chaves is a very nice and ancient city in the north of Portugal divided in two by the Tamega River. In the roman period the city was know as Aquae Flaviae dued to his hot thermal waters. From the Romans times are also the bridge in the photo: The Trajano Bridge. But all the historic center of the city is very interesting with a lot of medieval houses with coloured balconies. If you ever go to Chaves you've to try the delicious ham and the "Folar de Chaves".
