Photographer's Note

Bridge 25 of April (old Salazar Bridge) is a workmanship notable of engineering in the use of modern techniques and great spread. It is constituted by the suspended part properly said and the viaduct that passes on the zone of Alcântara, length of 2,3 km. Since 1999, the bridge also assures the railroad linking the two edges.

Olá amigo,

uma belíssima vista ampla da ponte. Lembro da imagem em cores que havia feito. Ambas formam um ótimo registro dessa arquitetura. Gosto do efeito sobre a água e o céu com a longa exposição. Soube regular bem a câmera para os desejados 30 segundos. Um ótimo trabalho. Parabéns!

Hi Goncalo, A wonderful piece of photography, bringing out the full detail in this suspension bridge, B/W was a great choice as it emphasizes the clouds in that elaborate sky, the smooth water is a superb effect & looks like glass, a great piece of work, sorry I’m not to keen on the WS, kind regards Wilson.

Olá Gonçalo,
o uso di filtro IR criou um efeito interessante aqui, geralmente prefiro foto a cores, mas acho que nessa o P&B ficou bem melhor, a definição ficou perfeita e o céu com um detalhamento impressioanante, assim como o contraste da foto.

Nao fosse o céu tão bonito e esta seria outra foto da ponte 25 de Abril. Mas, o P/B também transformou a versão a cores e deu-lhe outro carácter muito melhor. O contraste das nuvens está muito melhor aqui, no P/B. Muito bonita.

Hi Goncalo. Wonderful image. There is so much more detail and sharpness in the IR shot than the colour, I don’t think stopping down to F22 has helped the colour shot though. The long exposure in the IR has given the water a silky appearance and added a bit of movement in the near clouds. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

Simplesmente fantástica! O enquadramento é perfeito. E aquele céu o aspecto 3D e de suavidade... Trabalho admirável tanto na altura do disparo como (imagino) no PP. As versões a cores tb. estão muito bem, principalmente a de tons mais quentes, embora talvez esteja um bocado esverdeada demais, mas a margem Sul está demasiado escura. De qq. forma, o impacto nada tem a ver com o desta a P&B.

Excellent scene, I like the dramatic sky, the silver water and the impressive silhouette of the bridge, with those hills in the BG. The b&w approach gives a touch of originality.

Os 30 segundos de exposição e o movimento das nuvens criam a originalidade necessária para que esta tua foto não seja apenas mais uma foto da ponte 25 de abril. A juntar a este facto está tambem o aspecto liso do Tejo nada habitual.
A perspectiva é tambem interessante e o Cristo Rei ao fundo é um belo detalhe.
