[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I previously posted this image in TE, only this time it's in the original landscape formar.
One morning I was driving to work and I pulled over to admire those rays of light coming down from the tall trees. Then I picked my camera, mounted it on the tripod, framed the picture and set the selftimer on. I ran to the spot in the sun, counting down from 10 to 0 in my mind and... click (yes, it's me in the picture, I thought the picture needed a human element in it).
This was taken not far from my hometown, in Pinhal de Leiria (Leiria's Forest). It's a place called Ponte Nova and it's a very nice place to take pictures or just to take long and relaxing walks.

This is what I call patience! Waited for the best moment with a mounted tripod and clicked! Perfectly executed and I really like the steam coming out of his mouth.

With that timer ticking you found yourself in the right place at the right time. Like a destiny..

Images like this, shot off the cuff, or planned in advance, in this case, both, are very special.

Hello Miguel,

A very good image, and certainly it does not qualify as a portrait of oneself or a family member. So it is entirely within TE rules (I think). Its' a first rate image, with good composition, colors and resolution. Shot in 1999, it must be a scanned image, but well done! Since you set the camera on a tripod and ran back, it looks like you are breathing hard, and that makes a very good sidelight.

I love this shot. The cooledness in the air. You captured so nicely.
The sunray coming through the trees and the beautiful path way. Makes you wonder where you will end up at. Great job.
