Photographer’s Note
This is the church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, on top of the Mount of Santa Luzia, overlooking Viana do Castelo, in the north of Portugal.
The picture was taken from the "Pousada de Viana do Castelo", a luxury hotel from the range of the "Pousadas de Portugal".
The Temple-Monument was erected in the early 1900 and designed by the architect Ventura Terra, who drew inspiration from the Sacré Coeur of Montmartre, in Paris in 1898.
It's possible to visit the very peak of the dome, on the upmost part of the picture.
I did a great 360 degree panorama of the beautifull sight from there...amidst the tourists.
P.P = Shot in raw. Corrected wb and luminance, curves, cleaned an aerial and some cables from the church, corrected colours slightly.

Really beautiful picture! Looks like a postcard (in a good way). Great detail of the church and an incredible view of the landscape below, perfect angle you have found here!
Where can I find the panorama you mention?

Wow, what a view! A bit to sharp for my taste. Have you been a bit to hard with the usm?

Excelente fotografia, com bom enquadramento e nitidez.
Apesar do céu forrado ou de “capacete” como dizem os madeirenses, a luminosidade é bastante limpa.
Esta foto numa ocasião de sol também será certamente muito bela.
Eu gosto bastante desta atmosfera.
Parabéns.

Very nice panoramic view with a beautiful church on foreground. Good colours, contrast, and very clean photograph. The frame is also perfect. I like it so much, ... thus it be my favorite. :-)
Thanks for sharing Emanuel!

I really like this view, although it is difficult to tell why. maybe it is because of unstructured clouds balancing complex structure of walls. maybe because the split between close building and distant background, that distan that I can nearly feel it. thanks fo sharing

Excellent composition, the castle is very well placed in the picture. Most of all I am amazed over the perfect clarity and the details of the castle. Impressive!

Perfectly balanced and composed picture. The church is wisely surveying the vast green landscape underneath. I like how it dominates the surroundings pronouncedly and peacefully. Colours are very natural and pleasant and the sharpness is great.

This is a lovely panorama of the church and its surroundings. There is great detail apparent in your photo: the texture of the masonry is clearly visible on the church as are the houses in the distance. The church is well situated and appears to be watching over the valley.

A côr e a nitidez do rendilhado da pedra e dos telhados é fantástica que faz realçar a igreja mesmo com uma luz que não ajuda.
