A Portugues Lady Photo

Photographer’s Note

The first time me and a friend visit Portugal we stop in Castelo Branco. When we are driving in the streets we saw this lady sitting in one chair, latter we parking the carr and start to walk and took some pictures she start to walk towards us and she tell us somethiing in Portugues but in this moment we don't understand her,howeveer she has a smile in her face she was so nice and so kind with us,we just smile her. Latter of a couple of day we can understand almost everything there. I love Portugal and the kindnes of this wonderful lady was the best welcome to this amazing country, thank you lady.

The placement of the old lady is really nice and I think the b/w adds to a rather melancholic setting. Good job.

If you ever go to Castelo Branco again, bring a print of this photo and offer it to the lady. She will be very happy. It will be a nice answer to her kindness.
For sure if you show the picture to somebody in the neighborhood, they'll recognize the lady and tell you where she lives.

This is a typical street view in the small Portuguese towns. The cobbled ground is very common all over the country and ladies dressed like the one in the photo are also common in those towns. It is a nice picture.

A imagem em branco e preto ficou muito boa e apropriada. Imagino o esforço desta senhora já bem idosa e com certa deficiência, para descer esta ladeira.

Elias ya tenia tiempo de no ver tus fotos. Espero te encuentres bien. Me gusta esta foto. Pienso que captaste muy bien este momento pues la señora hace un sujeto interesante. Los dos colores de la imagen le dan mas caracter. Cualquier persona pensaria que la foto fue tomada hace mucho tiempo. Gracias amigo. Cuidate mucho :-)

Olá Elias, aqui vai a minha 1ª visita depois de chegar da viagem ao Laos. Esta tua foto atraiu-me por ser tão Portuguesa e pela apresentação a preto e branco que ficou muito bem.
Tirei demasiadas fotos e vai levar algum tempo a organizar-me, mas tentarei postar dentro de pouco tempo.

minha mãe trabalhou nesta cidade durante meses quando era jovem, meus pais nasceram num local próximo daqui. É uma cidade sem grandes atrativos exceto a bela e simples catedral e os jardins episcopais, ou alguma viela medieval ainda preservada. Gostei desta tua cena de rua. Ao certo a velhinha estaria se queixando de sua situação ou falando qualquer coisa sobre a cidade ou sobre sua vida..
