Photographer’s Note

my first shot from Portugal: Ribeira -- the heart of Porto. picture taken from the boat belonging to the company which manages Douro cruises. views are really worth those 10 euros and slow portuguese life looks like in a brazilian v tseries. old houses seems nice and these were surely the reasons why UNESCO was to include Porto in its World Heritage list in 1996..

Hi Tomasz,
I like your shot with plenty of details to observe, from different facade colours and patterns, windows of different shape, parasols etc. From this point of view, directly in the front, these buildings apear like settings for the stage.
I did a WS with tighter crop in order to put more accent on those colourful facades. Hope you'll like it.

You really got it right. The view is simple but beautiful. That part of the old town is the most wonderful and UNESCO did very well giving that status to the city of Porto. But it is not only the Ribeira area. Have a look around the old city and you will be very pleased with what you see. Go up to “Praça dos Leões”, visit the Clérigos church, the Cordoaria, Cedofeira Street. Well done.

Nice colored composition. I like the view from the front.
Maybe I would have zoomed a bit more, to remove the sky and the upper part, and kept only the building in the frame.

Ola Tomasz! Tak, to i jeden z moich ulubionych widokow Porto z Vila Nova de Gaia. Twoje zdjecie ma atmosfere, ktora doskonale pamietam z Portugalii. Cieple, jasne swiatlo, lekka bryza od Atlantyku, w powietzru zapach kawy. Saudacoes!

to imejsce na zawsze pozostaje w pamięci po jego ujrzeniu...nie da się oprzeć urokowi miejsca, jest wspaniałe...
może bym popracował lekko nad kadrem, spróbował ciaśniej lub szerzej, pewnie masz różne wersje tego zdjęcia...jakoś taki "niezdecydowany" mi się ten kadr wydaje, ani wąsko, ani dość szeroko...
ale i tak się fajnie ogląda...
