Photographer’s Note

When partying in Porto, the football fans from the Euro 2004 teams, gather in this place near river Douro, called "Ribeira".
I went there to take some shots of the greeks and checks (saw 2 checks!).
But then another interesting show was unfolding before our eyes.
The kids in the Ribeira were fighting the heat by diving into the river.
I caught this young girl enthusiasticaly making a swan dive from the highest part of the shore.
I only had like a second to get her on focus and capture the delightfull movement and posture of her body.
The expression on her face says it all !

A very good action capture! the perspective with the street background and no water gives a feeling that she is doing the old dive in a cup trick.

Brilliant shot! You really managed to capture her at the perfect moment, and your focus/DOF is spot on too. My only suggestion is that I'd try a little Contrast Masking - it seems to light her up a little better. I can't see how anyone could have timed this one better! Great work :-D

Excellent shot. Very good usage of DOF. The girl's position is perfect, the coulours are great, the image is very sharp and the girl is pretty...
