[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Largo de S. Francisco,surely one of the most beautiful squares in Vidigueira.
Vidigueira is a small town in the Alentejo, not far from Beja. It became famous in the 16th century when King Manuel gave Vasco da Gama the title of Count of Vidigueira. Today, his name is still closely related to this place but Vidigueira is also very famous for its good wines.
What we see here is São Francisco, a very beautiful 18th century baroque church, that is surrounded by little traditional houses. I’m sharing this photo because I think this little square really transmits the whiteness, the quietness and beauty of the south.
I’ve been there but unfortunately this time I didn’t have time to go and take some photos of a place I really want to share with you here. One of these next weekends I’ll try to go there!

Hi Ana,
This church looks even more white than it is on the background on such a cloudy sky. I like its facade with nice curvy details.
Good idea to inlcude these two people as the square looks rather empty.

Sempre mostrando belas igrejas portuguesas aqui no TE! Achei interesante nessa e ela ser pintada toda de branco, sem cores diferenciadas nos detalhes da arquitetura!
