Photographer’s Note
This is a particularly nice spot near Aveiro, called "Forte da Barra".
This area is a small harbour with a few very archaic and unstable handmade piers, like the one on the image.
I found this lonely boat and the pier it was tied to, quite soothing and relaxing.
I decided to frame a large ammount of water to the left of the boat to convey even further its loneliness... The high f-stop assured a maximum definition for the full length of the picture.

Emanuel I hope you were not on that jetty!
The composition is apt as it conveys both lonelyness and peacefulness and these feelings are reinforced by the calm water and largely similar hues.
It's strange but I find the somewhat busy reflections on the hull at odds with the rest of the shot, but you can't have it all.
Nice shot.

I think you have composed this shot excellently, putting the old pier to the side and leaving so much space around the boat. I love the overall tones of the photo.

Boa composição num local difícil de destacar apenas um barco com as toscos acessos de madeira até eles.
Está impecável.
Parabéns.

I studied your picture carefully and agreed with you on the loneliness of this boat. And then I slowly scrolled up and down your picture and notice something.By cropping off the bottom along just after the boat reflection on the water,it gives a wider perspective of the loneliness. By doing so, you would also remove the submerged thing, noticeable on the bottom left handside of the picture.I think this would make your boat, and therefore picture, a little bit more panoramicly lonely.
