Palace, a photo from Braga, North

Photographer's Note

This is the Castle of The Duques de Braganca in Guimaraes, and the construction of this Palace coincided with the consecration of the marriage, when he came live in guimaraes. The 16th Century marked the beginning of its ruin, a process that was aggravated during the 19th century, when the palace served as a quarry for the neighboring population. From 1937 rebuilding started, made possible by the analysis of the structure and the renovation of numerous elements, that had conferred it a palace with the European look that it has today.

The point of view is very impressive here. I also like the fact that you have shot the picture from the corner of the building, giving the image more depth at the same time. The sky is fantastic and the details are nice and sharp. Good work.

The POV is perfect.
It would be great from you to come to this place later in the afternoon when the shadows are longer and texure is better visible.

Bonjour Manuel,
Impressionnant la force que dégage ce Palais, il semble invincible. Ce qui m'étonne ce sont ces grandes cheminées qui font presque office de sculptures et ce très bel encorbellement situé sur l'une des façades. Le cadrage est particulièrement bien choisi pour mettre en valeur ce Palais.

The construction of this castle is very strict, the windows in facades do my think at the defence castles, very nice perspective you chose a very nice angle also the vertical perspective.

Olá Manuel,
Perfecta composición con un muy buen punto de vista bajo, que da mucha perspectiva al diedro que forman las dos fachadas de este castillo.
Bien encuadrada con los árboles a ambos lados, un cielo muy limpio y hermoso con pocas nubes y un pájaro volando.
Exposición bien gestionada y colores naturales, suaves y bellos.

I like your POV to take this photo from the corner of the building so that we can see 2 facades as well as providing diagonal lines which are easy on the eye in a composition.

Creo que lo mas importante aqui es tu POV, has tomado la foto de manera que pueda verse dos fachadas del impresionante castillo, tiene buena perspectiva, profundidad y detalles. La definicion esta muy bien y aprovechaste el precioso dia para tomarla.

Hi Manuel,
As always, it's difficult to find any fault with this pic. It's well composed, the colours and contrast are great, and the detail and quality are outstanding. Maybe it would be interesting if you took another pic of this castle from a different vantage point so we can see more of its overall design but that's not a criticism: it's more of a request.... ;-)

Bonjour, Manuel.
Voici une construction impressionnante et massive. Le dynamisme de la composition (avec de belles diagonales) ne parvient pas a faire oublier cet aspect massif. Je n'ai rien a ajouter quant aux qualites techniques de l'image et surtout de la gestion de la lumiere qui pourtant semblait tres 'dure'.

Une vue, Manuel, qui donne du relief à ce monument historique. Cela est dû au fait que l'objectif est placé à l'angle et qu'on obtient deux perspectives.
La lumière est bonne et le ciel bien bleu.
