Night Reflections, a photo from Setubal, South

Photographer's Note

Today I’m back to my abstract theme... I think TE members will fell some relief because I’m not going to post more boats ;-)
This is a night shot of a reflection of a lamp like this one http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Portugal/photo305578.htm

This is an artificial lake located in a garden near Seixal Bay.
The dark brown reflections you see are from branches of trees.
I’ve decided to dedicate this one to my friend Beijo Kense, another TE member.
I thought of you because you like to photograph reflections and lamps too.
So here it is 2 in one just for you! ;-)
I hope you like it.

Muito bom este abstracto; muito na onda da tua fotografia dos resíduos industriais. Gosto da conjugação de cores. O azul e o amarelo sempre jogaram bem. As sombras emprestam o caracter que falta para fazer desta imagem uma grande fotografia. Muito bom.

Olá Teresa, I like a lot your abstract series. Like this one. Very rich in textures, colors and shapes. I just hope that is just a visual effect, and not a pollution problem in the water. It looks nice, though. Well done, Gabriel

As you told us...no boats in the picture...

This picture is unusual but I like it. The reflections and the light of the lamp is great.

Hi Teresa - ok, no boats, but it's your recognizable abstract style. The colors and the shapes are great. The peculiar yellow reflection can be interpreted in many possible ways (a virus? an inland in a purple sea? a ghost? perhaps a scream?) and that's remarkable. Well composed and frames. Hi Teresa,
The lamplight looks like gasoline in a pool and the branches are reflected inpitted circles. Very special.

I like the structure of this picture. It looks strange and originally. Interesting mix of those two vivid colours. So it was a good choice to show us something like that.

Olá Teresa,
Já estava a pensar quando é que regressavas às tuas 'anormais'. Gosto bastante da maneira com esta gema de ovo salta do padrão do fundo. Há também uma névoa (quase que diria que resulta das nuvens...) que me agrada bastante.
Uma bela pintura abstracta...a óleo!

Una composición muy interesante. Recuerdo una foto tuya con una farola que debe ser como la que se refleja en el agua aquí.
Es una foto muy artística, y, como bien dices, abstracta, pero tu nota explica claramente los elementos que componen esta bella imagen.
Me encanta esta foto, ya que también me gustan los reflejos y las lámparas, como a tí.
Excelente.

You really are a specialist in taking abstract shots. Inspired by some of your earlier shots on 'industrial waste' I tried some close ups of a rusting canon, the bark of a tree ... but alas, couldn't meet your standards. This is marvellous. Well done.
