I found this snail in the garden close to Óbidos, and i think that is an interesting picture to insert here.

Post Processing: Photoshop curves, light and saturation of the colors and HunSharpMask.

The blue sky contrast very well with the green leaf, and the way the snail pop up in the picture make it funny.

Very original angle, colours are brilliant, and I love the way that you can see the shadow of the snail through the leaf. Congratulations on such a wonderful photo. I added it to my favourites!

Ici est la limite du photo montage et de la photo reel en raison de l'énorme traitement qu'a subit l'image.
Attention malgré tout la prochaine fois au ombres car j'ai du mal à voir d'ou viens le soleil ...

Peut-on voir la photo originale ?

Very beautiful. The colors are so alive and the composition is very good. like how the frame is slantingly divided into defferent color compartments. This is one in a lifetime photo-opportunity and you certainly came out with flying colors. Congratulations.

Really excellent, Erik. The simplicity (and however dynamism) of the composition makes the snail outstanding. Great DOF, perfect sharpness, beautiful colors... The total perfection would have been the ability to avoid the shadow...
Please forgive me, I'm desperately looking for something wrong in your pic... ;-)

What a gorgeous picture. It's clear and sharp, the colors are pure and your post-processing doesn't look fake. But most of all, it's a wonderful composition and subject. It's so perfect it could almost be a computer generated image.

The best snail photograph than I could see until now, graphics and the composition of this photograph is parafaits.

Erik, rather stunning macro you have here of this snail. Patients is a virtue, for which im sure you had waiting for this little fella.

Wow is this gorgeous! The colors are saturated just right. This is so simple and delicious, a great idea for a macro. i like the angles very much. i would have tried to get the antenna on the left away from the white clouds to keep the little guy's colors even more defined. Thanks for this!

What a cool shot. Thank you for posting it.
I love how the light catches on the antennae, I never realised they're almost translucent. The bright green and deep blue works really well with the white of the clouds and soft shades of the snail. The shadow of the snail on the leaf is great.

This is a great shot Erik. The POV is amazing coming from underneath and having that great blue sky as the background. Very simplistic yet so aesthetically pleasing to look at. A very original view of Obidos.
