Photographer's Note

Here a house near Pico Ruivo in Madeira. There is a spectacular trekkingpath between Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruivo. I'm not sure what's the best way to get to Pico do Areeiro from Funchal, but i got there by hitchhiking (with my lovely sister!). The route takes a couple of hours, but it's worth it! You'll see muontains, gorges, forests, semi-desert and a lot more. If you have a lot of time, i think the route goes as far as Curral das Freiras. (i was there as well, but didn't hike as far as Pico Ruivo)

The day i was there was sunny, but for some reson it got quite cloudy just when i arrived at Pico Ruivo. Anyways i hope you can imagine the views i had from this picture. It's scanned, and therefore not of best quality.

Madeira is really a wonderful place. Eu gosto imenso de Madeira, um sítio marvilhoso!
