Photographer’s Note
The major monument in Évora is the Temple of Diana, directly in front of the government-owned pousada. Dating from the 1st or 2nd century A.D., it's a light, graceful structure with 14 granite Corinthian columns topped by marble capitals. Although it is said to have been dedicated to the goddess, no one has actually proved it. The temple withstood the 1755 earthquake, and there's evidence that it was once used as a slaughterhouse. Walk through the garden for a view of the Roman aqueduct and the surrounding countryside.

Olá Antonio,
Tenho aprendido muito com as fotos da Sofia e agora com as suas. Não sabia que existiam em Portugal tantas edificações - ruínas - tão bem preservadas do tempo dos romanos. Este templo é fantástico. Excelente POV, enquadramento, cores, nitidez, luminosidade. Excelente trabalho.
Abraços,
Leonor

Nice composition here. The temple creates a good contrast together with the church on the right and the castle in the background.
Good colours and perspective.
Well done!

Ola Antonio, I like the perspective and smoothness of this capture of this Roman treasure a lot. The combination with the more recent architecture is very interesting also because the white-gray rhythm it entails. Fine work!

That many earthquakes! That is incredible. I think they sure know how to build back then . Perhaps we have lost the art. Good exposure and great POV. Cheers Paul.

So this is the famous temple of Diana! Very nice approach, Antonio. I like your high key approach, which makes the whole photo light and not dark and brooding. It seems appropriate for a temple. Nice work!

I would say that your photo does a good job in portraying the cultural heritage of your coutry
