[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This a simple village house. But just because it´s in Piodão the storie change...

Piódão is without doubt one of the most beautiful villages of Portugal. It is classified as a Public Interest Monument, set forth in 1978, therefore benefiting of some protection. But only after its integration in the project of Historical Villages of Portugal, did Piodão see its urbanization ensemble safeguarded.
Being in the scope of that program all the houses in cement and tile roofing, are being converted in schist walls and roofs of slate. This project is now almost finished, so one can appreciate the architectonic richness of Piodão, and its reference as a heritage to preserve.
The village has an outline, typical of a mountain settlement. The dominant houses ascend up the slope, sheltered from the winds. Construction materials, were those offered by the hills; schist and wood. The walls have two layers, one exterior with bigger stones and one interior with smaller stones. The slate-roofs, take form of saddle roofs or four side roofs.

I hope you visit it in future! ;)

Interesting illustration to the note, and effective selection of the lamp.

Hi Carlos,
Nice bw with a little color touch.
I don't like so much to see the corner of the house.
Regards,
Didier

Belo POV !! Adoro estas texturas.
Mto boa definição!

nice angled shot, I like the way you took this, the colours are nice esp the white here, well shot

Hi carlos! simple colorful shot;-)) i love this kind of compo and desaturation! I find it very aesthetic!

well done
Eric

Oi Carlos, I love the angle here. The rough old textures are really great and the partial desaturation job works wonders here and can be seen as a nod to the renovation program. Very good!
Regards from Rotterdam, Bert

Não sei se era necessário "pintar" a luminária... pois a foto é de impacto suficiente principalmente pelas texturas.
Ótimo é o cotraste natureza x homem.
Abraço!
carmem

Ola Carlos

I like the b&w texture in the stone wall & the desaturation except for the yewllow light. Well composed, with good sharpness. Parabens!

Parabens.
Fernando

Ola Carlos,
Simple view of nice ancient walls, the interesting point here is the eye is attracted by the street lamp because of its color touch on this dark wall, well seen.
Have a nice day,
jean-Yves

Hi Carlos !
Good composition and good work with the yellow lamp ! The B/W house is great, full of details !
Congratulations,
Christophe

Salut carlos,

Belo trabalho.
Abraços,
Leonor

The "desaturation" is a very good idea for these old stones, and the effect of the lamp is great.
Well seen.
I like very much this beautiful house you show here.
Compliments
Jean Michel
