Photo of the sanctuary in Espichel Cape
****************************************
Although the cult of Our Lady of the Cape exists since the 15th century, it’s believable that the Espichel Cape was a pilgrimage destiny from long before. It’s said that actual cult began in 1410 when the loved image of Our Lady of the Cape was discovered by two old men from two distant villages, whom in equal dreams were warned by the Heavens of the apparition.

Before 1710 there was no order in the pilgrim lodgings which surrounded the church. After 1715 the large numbers of pilgrims forced the construction of buildings but only in 1760 the actual buildings were finished. They had rooms on the top floor and stores at the lower floor. We can see them of the sides of the church.

hi jack, this is a nice composition - i like the way you positioned the man in the frame, and different actions that are going on in front of the man's eyes; interesting architecture in the bg is a bonus;
have a nice sunday, jerzy

Hi Jack. Good composition with José surveying the scene (in which a mountain bike special squad seems to be taking some action). Good work with the contrasts in the opposing light. Your NY Times workshop is hilarious.

Hello Jack

I would increase brightness & contrast slightly. Perhaps a bigger feather margin next time. There is a faint halo or aura, visible around the man (Jose). But the composition is superb, & the sharpness excellent. Good work!

I like the composition and DOF.Veryb good colors, light, textures and sharpness.Good contrast between the building and the sky.I like the detail of the persons. The detail I like most is Jose :-)

eheheeh The General himself :P great photo Jack the PP is really impressive, he looks so dominant in the frame.

This should be enough to scare the "Orangines" :P

Hi Jack,
A fine portrait of Jose and his beautiful country.Nice scenery with the colorful mountainbikers in front of the church.
Good pp-work to brighten up the dark foreground.
greetings,
hermann

A beautiful image - wonderful - I would love this as a painting and I'm loving it as a photograph - really great colour and composition!

Hi Jack, it seems that your general is lost somewhere, he's already surrounded by light. Did he go up with the guys from startrek?
For the time being, he's still lost, and his girlfriend calls him a detail. If I admired him, I would say, he's a strong element, but you can hardly say that of your enemy, right?

Nice composition, Jack, nice backgroud as well.

Good, our commander just showed up again, hehe. The composition it's great. Nice picture :)

Regards
António

Un saint homme José avec son auréole:))
Bonjour Jack
Le point-de-vue est très intéressant avec le général positionné sur un point fort.
La lumière latérale donne un très bon relief.

A holly man Jose with his aureole:))
Hello Jack
The point-of-view is very interesting with the General positioned on a strong point. The side light gives a very good relief.
