Today I´ve discovered one of the nicer landscape of the Iberican peninsula down the south of Europe. A canyon created by the river Duero, or Douro, because this stream mark the frontier between Portugal and Spain... Although I should say I felt confortable countryless for a moment... While sailing I remember a big fire we had the other day here that killed 11 volunteers, or the terrible Tsunami back in december 2004, I mean: Humans been insist in create frontiers, while nature insist in tell us we are all the same in front of her power...
Departing from the beautifull Portuguese town of Miranda do Douro you can take this boat: The ride is short but worthy, sometimes, if you are lucky (and we were) you can see black storks and Royal eagles. Take care all of you.
PD: Absolutely out of the beaten track, only local tourism... Worthy to visit if you want to know some of the real culture of this part of the world far from Flamenco or Fado.

Salut Miguel
Une idée originale d'avoir cadré ce toit transparent sous lequel se reposent des touristes.
J'aurais peut etre aimé un cadrage plus horizontal qui aurait donné plus de place au paysage.
Amicalement
Bertrand

Hola Miguel,
great note! thanks for it... and you're absolutly right, when will we learn that there are no frontiers... no borders nor separations... there's only one world... our world.

Great view from the panoramic boat, savage landscape... and o loveeeeeeeeee eagles!

Mario

Hola Miguel,
Tierra de ningún hombre, Tierra de todos los hombres. Por supuesto, deveria ser así. ¿Estaba usted en la cubierta del barco? Muy bueno punto de vista. Buenos colores.
Saludos,
Leonor

"No man´s land"?
No man's river!
Gostei muito da nota e desta visão do rio Douro.
Esta zona faz parte do Parque Natural do Douro Internacional.
