Photographer’s Note

This is another post of a Serie about Beauty Places in a region of the Interior and the Unknown Portugal in a Tourist and also local point of view.

This is a beautiful small village near 25 km of CASTELO BRANCO town and District, that is also near of the frontier with Spain, and is locate in the center of Portugal. You can voyage by car near here by a great highway that is A23, that allows you many great sceneries, locals to stay, make good photos and to eat good gastronomy.

I show here a capture of the village by a view of the right side of the "Piscos" lagoon facing this nice village of "Sao Vicente da Beira" that is located in this District at "Beira Alta" region.

In the lower left corner you see only the right corner of the Lagoon, that I didn't cropped.

Hi Fernando,
What a beautiful panorama view, the part with the green vegetation on the foreground, the lovely village in the middle and the silhouettes of the mountains against the great sky, I like this lovey image!

Yes, Fernando,
It is is beautiful, and you have done a fine job of capturing it. It is a shame that tourists do not find their way here, but I suppose that is why we all enjoy TE because it shows us corners of the world the travel agents do not tell us about!

a nice village indeed,and good in your serie,I like the hazy atmospher which made by light of the time,although it's cloudy but seem there was strong light,well captured and nicely composed,too.

Very nice composition with this lovely small village hidden in the trees! The red roofs with the white walls inside the green nature compose an lovely scene. Nice perspective and well captured. Great work Fernando!

As belezas do Portugal interior são, de facto fantásticas. Infelizmente desconhecidas por grande parte de nós, mas aqui tão bem retatadas por alguém que as sabe olhar com olhos de ver e registar na perfeição. O detalhe da imagem é óptimo, as cores muito bem definidas e o céu por cima dá-lhe o toque final. Maravilha, Fernando, abraço!

Hi Fernando, This is a beautiful place indeed. I like your composition to have the houses embraced by the forest. The hill and mountains makes this village very attractive. Good DOF and good contrast.

Excellent work, Fernando. Your shots become increasingly artistically oriented, yet the delivery is clear and smooth in texture. Perhaps I would have cropped this scene a little to emphasize the village a little more, but still, the scene is sublime. Good shadows and treatment of the sky add to the integrity of the portrayal. Well done - and keep these images of your wonderful country coming. Regards.

Hi Fernando. This is a very beautiful landscape shot. This mountain seems pretty large. You did a fine job with the DOF. Sharpness seems very high. I love the way the village is nestled snugly in the valley. Great shooting Fernando!

A nice soft cast (in terms of colour) to this image - I like the shadows of the clouds on the trees - perhaps a little more contrast to bring them out further?

What I like here is the contrasting white houses - and the clouds casting their shadows over the hills :)

You're into landscapes, difficult to make things happen, but here you placed that village nicely composed mids all the green and the play of sun/shadow behind with a good sky. Some more contrast could enforce depht I beleive.

Boa tarde Fernando, such a fine mountain-scape this is! You captured the gently rolling hills, the lush vegatation and this lovely little white-red town very well. Indeed unknown Portugal but by the looks/words of it, definitely worth a visit. Parabens!

Bonito, Fernando, muito bonito. Não adianta eu repetir o que as outras pessoas já disseram. Espero que não venha mais um incêndio destruir esta bela paisagem de Portugal. O inglês da nota tem umas pequeninas falhas, mas dá perfeitamente para se fazer entender — o que é o mais importante. Parabéns.
