Last one of my little series walking the Atlantic coast within the town Porto. To day the lighthouse in the crossing of the Atlantic and where the river Douro ends. The lighthouse and the nature set in the right perspective by the lady, a very small figure out there looking at the chrushing waves. Also in this shot the 'shadow' of a big tanker in the back (asking me - too close to the coast, should anything happen to the big ship with all the oil)

I have not to much information of this lighthouse, but I think it is relative new, build to compensate for S. Miguel lighthouse from 1527 a little closer to the city.

Hej Jack,
Glad I can see this one ;)) Nice composition with the perspective leading to the well positioned lighthouse and a great dynamism brought in by the wave crashing in the rocks, I like too the detail of the lonesome guy watching, nice result !
Have a nice day,
jean-Yves

Hello Jack,
Very beautiful sight of this headlight. The vague one was taken at the good time showing that even if the sea is clamp it can be dangerous. The light is also very beautiful.
Sincerely Thierry

beautiful shot well composed with the lighthouse of the left and the person staring at the sea. colors and light are nice. A peaceful photograph on the left, and a lot of energy given by the wave on the right.

Beautiful colors and DOF, Jack. Perfect timing with the breaking wave and the ship at the horizon. Congradulations!

hi jack,
wonderful composition.the lighthouse and the sea have been captured well;also the woman is an important object over here(especially, when it comes to be seen that she is been positioned in between the sea and the lighthouse).good adjustment with the sky.you have also captured the waves well as it is not easy to capture their movement with such a perfect timing.overall,a good shot.
regards,
ravish.

Hi Jack,
A nice composition, the regard goes from the wall to the lady and after that to the detailled wave.

I like the composition, Jack, but, voice out of chorus, the woman is too much little. Better if she would be in foreground in profile looking at the horizon (or at the waves on the rocks)

Hi Jack,
Very beautiful lighthouse in its environment...
Action waves against rock is well captured.
Just a little tilt on the left I think.

Anyway, good shot

A good view you captured here with the wild, but beautiful sea! I like the composition with the light house on the left! Well done! :-D

...and the boat far away ! Well done Jack, somple view but very nice, great framing and wonderful blue sky, great work.

Of course this is the kind of composition I like for where they take place.
This is very well done with the wave in a decisive moment.
Perspective is excellent and you also give very "portuguese colors" .
Great light too.
I like it

Hi Jack

A good compromise between the lean of the lighthouse, & the horizon. Adjusting either, would spoil the composition. Excellent sharpness, colour, & graphism. I like the freeze frame of the wave. Good work!

No matter about Horizon,Just I like the shot very much,Jack!
Strongly composed with a great simplicity!!!
Yes,I think that a simplicity which seen nicely is a great elements and factor in photography, and you composed it perfectly which has an admirable simplicity, too.
I can hear the sound of the waves, very well captured and in a great way freezed, also the colors are real as a fine point for shot, that is reached by a nice controlling the light in the moment of the day, morning or afternnon,no difference but very good time you was there,I like it,Jack!
Yours
Regards
M

Wow, what a super sharp photo! Great timing of the waves crushing against the rocks. Good composition too, leaving the lighttower close to the left side so as to create a sense of vastness of the sea. Excellent colours!

Hello Jack,

Great image with just the wright timming with the crashig wave. I really like the very small boat in the distance, it adds a lot of charm to the photo. Great colors and sharpness also.
Well done and seen!

Excelent enquadrement, angle of view of this Lighthouse and Sea capture. Good momment for the shot with sthe splashing water on the rocks. Great blue sky and light contrast.

A good one from Oporto, very well captured.
Congratulations.
Fernando

Bonjour Jack
La mer démontée me fascine toujours; j'apprécie beaucoup les paysages marins.
La composition est parfaitement cadrée.
La prochaine fois essayez de photographier le phare allumé au crépuscule.

Hello Jack
The rough sea is always attractive; I appreciate much the marine landscapes. The composition is tallied perfectly. Next time try to photograph the lighthouse lit in the twilight.
