Funchal, Jardim botânico cable car.
The operator of the cable car that connects Monte to the Jardim botânico awaits visitors.
The gondola flies over an impressive ravine, from which sometimes arises the cry of a cock. From the top, it's hard to imagine how Madeiran do to develop small plots of land and settle their backyard.

This operator's life must be quite boring !
Interesting capture with good graphism and nice framing.
TFS and best regards

I'd have preferred a b/w version, more useful to emphasize the graphic content. Anyway nicely done. Regars, B.

An aptly titled shot, you have this diminishing light photography off to a fine work whilst there's some remaining blue in the sky and the station looks sharp and viewable enough and must have been very still. The silhouetted fig is so vital, positioned at the right spot to make this work and this shot has a good tonal range. A well composed with excellent depth as well as lovely overall atmosphere and mood. Fine work so well planned, Congrats

Je ne suis pas encore allé sur cette ile. J'ai fait une photo un peu similaire à Porto. La tienne est bien mieux composée.
Bien vu !.

Interesting note that gives a sense of the place just as much as the picture. I like the shapes of lights and dark that structure the image and the silhouette of the man - alone as you say.

Un clair-obscur bien réussi qui me reporte à mon enfance; j'imaginais pouvoir voler au-dessus des arbres pour voir les paysages à la manière des oiseaux!
