[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This post, it´s the least bad photo i take from my new camera :( . Today i shot 300 times and i don´t like any of the photo. The exposure time it´s a problem. Whit Canon A80 you don´t need to be a good photographer. With this one....

Ok. This it´s a village in north of Portugal call "Caminha". The river Minho it´s the boundary with Spain.

It's a nice view, I think! Nice colours again and a good perspective on th left!
Well done!

Excelente enquadramento e a nova máquina funciona numa maravilha!

Um abraço e parabens!

I agree, great composition, youll master the exposure time soon enough, practice makes perfect! I like the effect that youve captured here, the orange sky which blends into the sea, keep trying and posting!

Hey Rafael, Do not throw your new camera away yet. This picture is really nice one. The layers of colors in the sky and the layers of colors reflection on the water are so clear and beautiful.
Keep this picture with the camera. You may get a good price of your camera in case you need to sell it :D

Hi Rafael

You're becoming a perfectionist. There is nothing wrong with this. Incredible sharpness, well composed, good light & superb color. I like the 'v' shaped curve. Parabens!

Hi Rafa. This is actually not a bad photo at all, the evening mood is well captured, the composition is nice with the curving shoreline, and the subtle combination of remaining daylight and urban illuminations is appealing.

I know it's difficult, but the most important thing to get started is to stay patient. First of all, it is important that you set aside a few hours to really read the manual that came with the camera. This is a digital SLR, not a point-and-shoot, and it takes time to try and understand the immense variety of capabilities the camera gives you. I have my D70 for around half a year now, shot around 4.000 frames, and I have the feeling I didn't even try half of what I could do. Second, try to shoot with automatic mode or one of the pre-set programs (like landscape, night shot, etc.) in the beginning. This should give you really good starting results without worrying about manual intervention on the exposure settings - just focus on finding a composition, and let the camera take care of the technicals. Then, over time, gradually work your way towards more manual control. You will stay motivated that way and get more and more great shots, I'm sure.

Hi Rafa,
Don't worry too much, I have already read that other TE photographers with a lot of talent (like Georges) had had trouble first when moving to the DSLR, certainly the numerous owners of the D70 around here will help you to find a solution.
Great compostion by the way, the fine beach curve and the well placed boat were there together with the still aspect of the water to produce a great photo.
Oh, it will certainly help others to help you if you post the full EXIF data to your photos.
Wishing you success and looking forward to your next photos,
Jean-Yves

Every beginning is difficult, but this picture proves that you soon will be master of this camera. Personally I would have cropped a few centimetre from the sky, but that has, of course, nothing to do with the camera.

Great photo.
Beautiful colors on the water.
The contrast with the black figures is great.
Very well done!

This is a great shot, I think i would have chopped off a bit of the sky though to focus on the colour on the horizon, and reflecting in the water I would have chopped a bit of the water.......

Linda

Hi Rafa,
I don't think that this is so bad after all. Colors are pleasant and the composition is very good. I am sure that you'll learn how to handle your D70 for excellent results.

love the colors and the reflections Rafael.. the picture isn't as bad.. i quite enjoyed this serene beauty
