And now it's time to return to Portugal for a little series about Christmas.
This time I'm going to show this little village called Cabeça! Situated in the Estrela Mountain, the highest mountain in Portugal, this village, with less than 200 inhabitants is receiving thousands of visitors this month. Helped by Gil&Alberto, two eco designers, the inhabitants decorated their houses and streets for Christmas, but all the decorations are made of materials from the mountain, what makes it the most ecological Christmas in Portugal.
This is just a typical house that is now in ruins. Other posts with the decorations will follow!

Hi Ana, A nice POV of this brick house on the mountain. The blue sky BG with the tree on the corner framed the house perfectly. The shade on the house even adds more life to the image. Wonderful colours along with great details. Looking forward to see how it looks like when the Christmas decorating is put on the house. Thank for sharing

Interesantan tekst o planini i kuci od prirodnog materijala ...
Dobar trenutak snimka i kontrast, lepe boje.
Dobar rad, lepo pokazana stara fasada i detalji.
Imajte lep dan za odmor, sve najbolje.
An interesting article about the mountain and the house made of natural materials ...
Good time recording and contrast, beautiful colors.
Good work, well shown the old facades and details.
Have a nice day to relax, all the best.

I like a lot this architecture of old stones , but also the low POV , the angle of view , the strong contrasts .

Your unusual viewpoint and use of the polarizer have given this scene interest and vibrancy. I wonder why it is that ruins and abandonment are so photographically magnetic?

It is amazing sometimes to see the houses that lie in ruins, this being one. The textures of the brick are beautiful, and the contrast of the dark spaces against the light yellow and blue sky are very fine indeed. This is a great composition breathing life into the old building, and a great note too!
Thanks as always

Nice golden introduction to your Christmas series.
Good low-angle POV with the corner of the house pointing to Heaven :-)
Looking forward to your Christmas decorations.

Good grotty take here, this is the sort of image that usually comes to my mind when people talk about the charms of country life in the good old days... The composition works for me, with the tilt and low pov and I really like the rustic look and feel of this more derelict appearance - definitely rustic situation, home from home. Love the way you have exposed this, the polarised blue tones complementing the textured stone wall really well. Indeed an appealing shot, tfs

first of all I really enjoy the image and especially your POV combined with upward perspective-great combination, which makes your composition eye-catching!
Senondly-special thanks for your interesting note about the village and their Christmas customs.
Have a nice day

well, this house suits me just fine!
nothing wrong with it at all.
in fact, the wooden windows are the best feature, so cool and so charming.
the broken windows add a bit of mystery, and the upwards POV is so effective.
love the light and colors too.
