I took this picture while wandering aimlessly with my camera around the town of Lagos in the Algarve, Portugal while on holiday in the summer. A street entertainer was blowing big streams of bubbles using a net held up against the wind. He allowed this young woman and her daughter to have a go, watched by her little son and I just had to try to capture the moment. I don't think that they were aware that I was taking their picture.
The little boy seemed quite entranced by the moment. A few seconds later, however, the big bubble burst as you can see in my workshop picture!

Hi John, How cute is this blond little boy in your Workshop photo. such bubbles is a splendid joy for kids but also for adult to observe them (and make photos). Nice moment well caught. Excellent quality, everything is so natural, it seems we stand nearby.
Warm regrads Malgo

Un très joli moment que tu nous fais partager avec ces deux belles photos. J'aime beaucoup les regards étonnés des enfants.

Both are great images that tell a complete story together. However, I feel that the little boy with the burst bubble in the workshop should have been the main image. Quite an impressive, unusual capture. I have not seen anything like it before.

Things of beauty tend to be quite fleeting, and so it is with bubbles too. Oh well, it makes a fantastic shot to capture, the look on the faces of the children is superb, and so perfectly suited to the activity they are doing. When I was small, I had a normal bubble maker, I can only imagine my excitement if I had the option to make them this size! Great moment, and great workshop :)

This is lovely!
What a moment to capture!
The expression on the little boys face is worth all the days photography and, then, to get a second shot, as the bubble bursts! Wonderful!
There is no sense of staging and the setting is super!
As a daily life (decisive moment) shot, this is one to savour!
Have a great week,

This is a lovely pair of photos, just the kind I enjoy so much taking. The main photo is so full of colours and childish spontaneity, in fact the whole image is packed with human activities. There is not a dull inch. The workshop is remarkable in its way. I have never seen anything like it. Lucky coincidence or perfect timing? :-)

Luck or not, you captured an absolutely wonderful moment and image here! This main post is great, but I have to lean on the WS picture as my favorite...simply fantastic!
What an endearing interaction between a mother, her children and the entertainment of blowing bubbles. :) I have a niece and nephew that are about the same ages as these children appear, so perhaps it pulls me in even more...however, this is truly adorable, and I would enjoy it regardless.
It's bright, colorful and full of cheerful innocence. Ahhh, if only we were still this easily occupied and fascinated, yeah?
Is it just my tired eyes, or is there a slight halo around the young boy? Honestly, it matters not, I'm much more interested in the expressions and atmosphere conveyed. Smiles all around for this one! :)

Hi John, the street photographer!
candid picture of an event in the street, mummy is helping her daughter to make big bubbles under the open eyes of her son.

You are so good at these street scenes. This is another gem and there is nothing that I would want to change with it. The BG has interest but enough out of focus not to detract from the family group. Although it is the mother, daughter and bubble that is the main attraction it is the small boy for me that is the star. He is concentrating so much and mesmerized by the bubble. Even the blue and red bowls are perfectly placed.
Kind Regards, Ann
