Yes a new camera, all automatic and new one and you without experience in this new one !!!. Also the "camera" thinks for you and how sophisticated worse be the problem. Norbert is a well experienced and friendly member can could be right but you must try the camera at day and night, for a few of days. I change my 1 1/2 years good one 4000z, by another of the same branch recently, without any problem. I have a friendly person that says, is best what you have that changing. You changed now with a experimental shot, and the experience is nice. For your experimental shot my friendly smiley :))) If you want I change my camera with you :))

Good work and a ISO exposure of 1600 with a smiley!

Congratulations for your new camera, Rafa. It is a very nice night shot, with exellent treatment of light. I like the warm yellow hues. Great.

Congratulations with your new camera! :-D
Nice shot with good and warm lights! Well done!

interesting pic, i like the choice of camera here, but the pic is a bit blurry, maybe you need to sharpen it? but I guess the iso1600 wasnt a good choice huh?

I like it my friend, very nice shot, you made it with a tripod, very nice, for the first shot with the Nikon. May I ask you why the Nikon 70? Self I am looking for another camera special for taking macro shots. My thought go's to the canon powershot pro 1, but I am no sure yet. enough, very good first one Rafael

Hi Rafa. Congratulations on your new camera; I think you made an excellent choice :-) Actually the first result is not bad - a nice nocturnal photo of the old buildings and the nighttime illuminations. The D70 gives a good quality with low noise amounts even at high ISO settings - as you seem to have had a tripod (or at least a stable surface) at hand, you could also try in the lower ISO range and expose longer. Enjoy your new toy and I hope you'll find time soon to also try it during daytime. Did you purchase it with the 18-70 lens?

Rafael... I agree with you... my feelings were the same...love my camera too Nikon D70. It is a phenomenal machine. Your first picture clearly shows what it can do by it self. I did a workshop for you. Hope you like it and keep on posting. Thanks

Hi Rafa, I am still one of whom go with analogical cameras (Nikon F80), and sometimes the idea of buying a digital camera passes by my mind, and I like a lot the Nikon D70.
Well, as a "Welcome to TE" usualy here, I tell you, "Welcome to the Digital World", enjoy it!
Related to the photo, I like mucho the night photography, this is a bit dark, and it could be a bit more clear, but as you say, the conditions were not the best. I hope to see more night shots from you soon. Now you don't have the "analogical" problem, as me! See you here.

Holla Rafael :)

Congratulations on your new camera,I wish you
a lot of great photos to take with it and share with us at TE !

Very dramatic subject. I like the composition.
It is a littlebit dark to my taste ...
ISO 1600 - it doesn't show...can't see graininess in the photo, maybe because it is dark ...

For a photo from a car it's great ... but next time use a tripod , and bracket , with
at least two shots overexposure and two under ...

For this one... some brightneing, and maybe some less contrast and than a bit of sharpening should do the tric ...

Again, congratulations on your new camera !
