Photographer's Note

Situated a few kilometres far from Alcácer do Sal, Carrasqueira is a small but really well known village (specially among photographers), thanks to its quay formed by many walkways built on irregular wooden stilts, that has been built in the 50's/60's of the 20th century, to allow fishermen to reach their boats during the high and also during the low tide.

This is the silhouette of a very little part of the quay, some boats and also one of the many huts that the fishermen have built there, on stilts, to keep their belongings, such as fishing nets.
