This is a typical scene in the late afternoon with people returning from work. You can feel in the air a relaxation mood that is to come.
The scene was taken in Bairro Alto, in the most charming and oldest city of Western Europe, Lisbon.

What a fabulous street scene! The amazing textures, great depth, and dramatic light make it a feast for the eyes. This is, as you know, extremely well done!
Because it invites such close review, let me ask about two minor details. First, the reflective stripes on the traffic barriers are glowing (as they are intended to do) with reflective light; while they make a nice highlight, they seem a little bit "hot" to me. Second, the shirts of the workers walking away from you have gone quite blue; that may be impossible to avoid in the shadows. What are your thoughts on these two issues?
Let me be clear -- I am talking about very, very minor details within a masterpiece that I respect and enjoy!

a "wide" photo that is capable of giving the whole atmosphere of the place. i like it with all those minor details, as i feel myself so much "in there".

this is a wonderful photo that not only describes but also allows you to enter this interesting, picturesque urban neighbourhood and get a true glimpse of daily life there. I love your straightforward composition and the layout of all the characteristic details in the vertical frame. The sense of depth, the chromatic tones and the atmosphere are so natural and captivating. Your management of so many lighting variations is marvellous. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

another wonderful view of my favorite not-yet-traveled-to city.
Did you use flash here? it looks like you did because some of the elements are highlighted in the fg.
the mood you mentioned is true and certainly felt.
this may be the same subject or place as some of your other Lisbon shots, but this shot has a more rustic feel of emotion.

another superb composition here. Like the view of the alley how you presented in vertical frame with an endless depth. Great light management here... Like how you balance the light on the brighter walls and darker parts. Very good colour tone. Great shot. Tfs.

This is one of your best photos from Lisbon, because it shows activities of people, there are many details, the light is very good and you have cropped it well by leaving out the sky. It's an interesting and lively picture. I like it a lot.

Nice low light shot with a real end of day weary after work atmosphere created by the men walking down the street. Great lines and depth... your trademark!

I like the sweeping dip of the street with the lovely FG textures Daniel. It seems as if I can step right into the frame and casually walk along the street just behind the two figures. Nicely done! Warm regards Rosemary

Hi daniel, there is something old fashioned in this photo. Amazing view iof the street going so steep up. Nice lamps on one side only, pleasant mood indeed. And we have even laundry! Fascinating photo.

it´s like you wrote-we can really feel the unique mood. These mens coming back from work,Lisbon´s architecture accentuated well by this a little bit dim and moody light. All these features together make the shot really fine and make me eager to come back as soon as possible to this charming city.
Have a nice sunday

Ahh yes, what's better than the end of the work day? :) You have a great way of bringing the streets alive with these compressed perspectives. It really shows us the uneven and fluid nature of the urban landscape. This one has a gritty appeal about it, some good character to accompany these gentleman on their way home. Great light that adds a touch of softness and warmth to go along with the casual scene. Nicely spotted and beautifully composed. Enjoy your Sunday. Take care.

Another of your signature alley shots, which I like a lot. You always find the right spot to shoot, what is not easy at all. Good title, very fitting to the photographs. Good light and shadow management with vivid colour tones. Well done

A very attractive daily life scene. I like the heat haze and the perspective created by the street line. The inclusion of the people on their way home from work, sets a very particular mood and atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing, have a lovely day
