No Barriers to God

Convento do Carmo, or Carmo Convent. These are the ruins that are a result of the great earthquake of 1755. What is amazing is that the walls are still standing for the most part, as are the arches. The only thing missing is the roof.
In the US, there is a concept of a "classroom without walls" where students go out and get real life experience working at real companies. This place is a "church without a roof" where there is literally nothing standing between you and God. A very neat place. |
