This square has the name of the famous portuguese writen Bocage !

Bocage was born in the Portuguese city of Setúbal, in 1765, to José Luís Soares de Barbosa and Mariana Joaquina Xavier l'Hedois Lustoff du Bocage, of French family.
Bocage began to make verses in infancy, and being somewhat of a prodigy grew up to be flattered, self-conscious and unstable. At the age of fourteen, he suddenly left school and joined the 7th Infantry Regiment; but tiring of garrison life at Setubal after two years, he decided to enter the Navy. He proceeded to the Royal Marine Academy in Lisbon but instead of studying he pursued love adventures, and for the next five years burnt incense on many altars, while his retentive memory and extraordinary talent for improvisation gained him a host of admirers and turned his head.

The lovely Setúbal town is located in the so-called "Blue Coast" region, and is an important portuary and commerce zone.

One of Setúbal's main activities is undoubtedly fishing, nevertheless the region has been every time more looked for by tourists and visitors that find in this lovely town and its surroundings, excellent routes to discover, explore and take pleasure in.

With a nicely cared for historical centre, traditional commerce is present in every walking street that lead us to a charming avenue that offers a big and refreshing garden.

Located over the lovely Sado River, Setúbal offers all visitors the best and freshest sea and shell food.

The gorgeous Arrábida Mountain or a boat trip up to the lovely Tróia Peninsula are two destines that surely one cannot miss.

Olà Aires,

An excellent vertical composition. The large and very graphic FG give depht and learn the glance to the coloured edifices in the BG with the passing peoples which give life. Superb clouds in the sky, well collected too.

Splendid vertical picture with a fantastic foreground.
One advice Aires, I would above a little bit cropping for 1/3 sky and 2/3 foreground.
Excellent photographed with pleasant colours.

Un bien bel espace public. J'apprécie principalement le carrelage qui donne une belle profondeur à l'image et qui guide le regard vers la colonne et les belles maisons à l'arrière plan.

Interesting lines in the plaza pavement!
And the white fluffy clouds on a blue sky always make a great element...
