A morning view of the Fatima's Basilica, after rainy night. A night procession and a general view posted on the 2 Ws's.

Two important annual dates has the pilgrimage town of Fatima : May 13th and Oct. 13th. A week ahead of those dates, there are numerous religious events like day and night Masses and processions.
We arrived on Friday night to town and there was a ceremony in 6 langugaes ( as there were 6 delegations from 6 countries) and a procession than after.
The name of the town comes from the Arabic name Fatima, a Moorish woman who captured by Christian forces during the Reconquista, was converted to Catholicism, and baptised before marrying a local Count .
The basilica built to commemorate an events in 1917 when 3 peasant children claimed to have seen the "Virgin of the Rosary". The children experienced the purported Marian apparitions in place where the sight is.

Uma igreja bonita e imponente e capturado muito bem. A base nos povos no primeiro plano a igreja é muito grande. Eu gosto de seu pov e bom uso da luz natural que vem do lado, dá à foto alguma profundidade. Cores agradáveis. Bem-feito, tfs.

Hi Ike.
Very nice composition, I like the effect of the surface, it looks as if it were water, the soft light that illuminates the high tower on one side slightly, gives a nice touch to the facade in contrast, which in turn highlights the soft color the sky.
Good brightness and color.

Hello Ike,

Excellent morning's light nad good presnettaion of this sanctuary. The large Fg give a greta depht to the image and learn the glance. The peoples on the left give an interetsing idea of the important scale of the place.

I was there in 2005. At first, I thought that the city was struck by a flood. Place looks at flooded with water. And that's just wet pavement of the square. Very well composed picture and great quality photographs.

Hi Ike,

The distance between the statue and the church is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the Fatima basilica. The morning light is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Ike,
Original photo, after rain it looks like on the lake. Strange effect. Great blue colours and good depth.
But I didn't like the place at all. So much, that I didn't make any photos :). So comercial, all these stands and shops! Wax legs, hands,... terrible for me.

nice framing of the square and the basilica. my grandomother walked a lot during many years to reach this sanctuary, homeland of my ancestors isn't so far from here. I ever visited the place since 1968 until 2001
