Carmo Convent Ruins in background

The construction of the Carmo Convent was ordered in 1389. Situated in a privileged position, over Rossio and the São Jorge Castle hill, right in the cosmopolitan Chiado quarter.

The Church of the Convent, that once was Lisboa’s main Gothic church, is one of the testimonies left by the big earthquake of 1755 still visible in the city.
The convent occasionally was a military dependence and, during the Portuguese coup d'état of 25th April 1974, the Carnation Revolution, it was in the barracks of this monument that the still President at that time, Marcelo Caetano, refuged from the rebellious soldiers.

In the last century, the monument became the headquarters of the Portuguese Archaeological Association which founded the Carmo Archaeological Museum that exhibits pieces related to the history of Lisbon, from pre-historic times through to the Middle Ages and features an impressive collection of medieval religious and heraldic items.

Belo foco nos detalhes da linda architectura de Lisboa, incluindo as ruínas do Convento do Carmo!
A luz e o colorido ficaram ótimos!
O ponto de vista foi muito bem escolhido e a composição eficiente! Um único porém é o semáforo no canto inferior direito que de certa forma estraga um pouco o conjunto, mas nada muito sério!

l'illuminazione sulle facciate dei palazzi ha creato un alternarsi di colori e volumi davvero bello.

It's a feast of colours! The artificial light gives vivacity to the façades of the buildinds and contrasts very well with the blue/violet sky. and this melange of different architecture styles is so interesting and fine. A real gem!

Merveilleuse lumière de fin de jour qui donne de superbes couleurs. J'aime beaucoup les différents tons d'orangés avec une touche de jaune au centre et le ciel qui crée une belle harmonie. Beau travail.
Comme toi je suis très occupé, je publie moins souvent mais j'essaie d'écrire des critique, pour ne pas oublier mes amis, quand le temps me le permet.

Hello Aires, i realy like the light on this image and the architecture lines from diferent styles. 2 things i think would improve your image: correcting the noise of the sky and clone the traffic lights out.

Bela luminosidade e cores. O único "defeito" é o semáforo. Eventualmente ficaria melhor (ou menos mal) se aparecesse completo e em laranja ou vermelho.
