In Portugal, many windmills have been turned into housing. These are second homes of their owners.

I hope you like it !

A windmill is a machine that is powered by the energy of the wind. It is designed to convert the energy of the wind into more useful forms using rotating blades or sails. The term also refers to the structure it is commonly built on. In much of Europe, windmills served originally to grind grain (hence the "mill" derivation), though later applications included pumping water and, more recently, generation of electricity. Contemporary electricity-generating versions are referred to as wind turbines

Eu gosto de moinhos de vento , acho que por causa dos inúmeros romances que li , onde eles aparecem de uma maneira bem romântica (é uma impressão pessoal mesmo). Bem interessantes esses num cenário lindo de céu azul .

Olà Aires,
Belle lumière de fin de journée et très intéressant de voir que ces moulins à vent sont transformés en maisons. Ici les moulins à vent sont plus rare mais il y en a un non loin de chez-moi qui est transformé en galerie d'art. Bonne composition et intéressante note.

Não me importava nada de ter uma destas casas. E se fosse aí na região de Sintra, ainda melhor.
São lindos estes moinhos e este em particular com aquele galo lá no cimo do telhado.
Tens uma foto excelente em cores, exposição e PdV. Gosto muito.

An ideal subject for a surely appealing composition. You shot them with a fine late evening light coming from the side creating a good contrast between right and left.
There's a good clarity and intense natural colours which make the photo very pleasant.
Also in Greece they are transforming windmills into houses for tourists.
