Photographer’s Note

Hi TE friends,

This is one of most beautiful Forts in Lisbon region. Today is my 4th anniversary in TE. Thanks to all about the critiques and suggestions

I hope you enjoy it !

The wooden structure in front of the Chalet Barros is a bar in the Summer time. There are the sea in front of this promenade.

The original building, built on the ruins of the old Fort of St. Antonio da Cruz, almost looks like a medieval castle, braving the fury of the sea that in the days of greatest turbulence affects the basis of its high walls. This is in Tamariz Beach.

Tamariz Beach is
situated in Estoril, next to the train station, the Tamariz Beach is the most cosmopolitan in Cascais area. Detached from the Estoril Casino’s beautiful Gardens by the Marginal Road and the train, Tamariz Beach is one of the tourist centres in the region, with several bars and clubs. It is a quite comfortable beach for those using public transportation.

The beach is not provided with a car parking of its own, therefore it is common in summer time that all the areas around the beach are crowded.

Beautiful view of Estoril under a superb blue sky very well colected. Excellent framing and POV very well selecetd. The contrast and the colors arise very well under this sky.

Ola Aires,
really this is a very nice and well reconstructed fort,that is floodlight with excellent light under a brilliant blue sky.I like the sharpness and the clarity of the scene but the only disadvantage of the castle of the construction in frond of it this wooden kiosk.I think that would be made at the sides of it, or in an other place.

Hello Aires,
A very good POV to show us the different levels of this fortress, each with its particular architectural beauties: the battlements, the arches, the windows make this to a very beautiful fortress, a bit like in a fairy tale.
I also have mixed feelings about the wooden building in front of the fortress. It's not disturbing on your picture but I don't think they should have built it right there.

É um belo forte mesmo com uma arquitetura típica da época. As nuvens parecem explodir por detrás dele criando um maravilhoso pano de fundo em combinação com o céu azul. Parabéns.

A well composed presentation of this lovely fort!
I notice the finer details in the design, proving that the architect also had the looks of the structure in mind...

Obviously , this is a great subject . By the shapes , the strong diagonal , and the nice contrats between the wooden structure and the stoned walls .

Il est bien dommage d'avoir placé ce chalet de bois devant cette très belle architecture ancienne, carte le contraste est saisissant, belle note et réalisation

Bonjour Aires,
un ciel sans doute bien polarisé, c'est toujours ce qui m'attire en premier sur une photo quand il est réussi. Il permet aussi à bien démarquer tout ce qui le touche, comme par exemple cette tour de pierres.
Une photo parfaite dans le cadrage, la mise au point et l''exposition.
