Photographer’s Note

City of Leiria – city of poets. In the background: medieval castle of Leiria, elegant building in Gothic style composed of two towers and a central part that houses the grand hall and a magnificient panoramic gallery. The castle was last restored between 1898-1944, the work of the Swiss architect Ernesto Corrodi.

Hi Mikolaj

Good POV over the red tiled the rooftops with teh castle in the background. The castle looks like it has two dark eyes and a mouth, watching over the city. Great composition.

Hello Mikolaj,

The red roofs lead my eyes nicely to the castle on the hill!
Except for the forest of antennas this could be a couple of centuries ago, in this well preserved city...
The point of view works well, fine colour palette!

orange roofs of houses and gray castle on the green hill make beautiful and suggestive contrast in it.
the castle really looks the watcher's face watching all the city,
and also he looks being dumbfounded by people's activity.
but the sky is really true watcher watching all, it is graceful sky this day.

Portugal is a small Country and I spent 15 days there back in 2004! Even so, it was impossible to visit every place I wanted too and besides that, while I was there I discovered that there were many interesting places to be visited that I hadn't listed in my plans for the traveling!
This picture is excellent! The high pov over the rooftops was a superb choice, as well as the vertical format! The composition is simple but truly effective and attractive! Sharpness and exposure has very good levels! Colors are very natural and nice as well!

Sprytna kompozycja- w pionie tutaj bardzo duzo sie zmiescilo. Zameczek w tle robi niesamowite wrazenie. Podoba mi sie rowniez punktowe swiatlo w tle oraz swietny kontrast kolorow.

This city view I like very much, because of its excellent light management. When the sunbeams hit the town below the hill, you shot the picture. The "sea" of the red roofs forces the viewer to look to the horizon what adds to the great DOF. Sharpness and colors are fine. Well done
