Photographer’s Note

The Cathedral (Se) in the city of Braga. The cathedral was built in the XII century by the Earl Dom Henrique and his wife Teresa on the site where the Arabs, four centuries before, had destroyed the original church of Santa Maria. The galilee belongs to the end of the XV century and was completed in the XVI century by the Archbishop Dom Diogo de Sousa. From the XV century there is also a Gothic-Flemish tomb in gilt bronze, containing the mortal remains of the Infante Dom Afonso, son of Dom Joao I. The font, also of Anca stone, is in the Manueline style.

Hello Mikolaj,
A very good perspective on this lovely cathedral façade. Pity about the cars but that's not the fault of the photographer. At least, they with the pedestrian give a good sense of scale. Very good colours and sharpness.

Stara katedra w Bradze, no rewelka, swietne zwlaszcza te dwa czerwone auta. Czy jedno nie jest aby Twoje. Super kontrast, ekstra ostrosc. Skan zankomity, znaczy sie.

Hello Mikolaj,
A very good scan with well recreated colours. Normally I would object to the parked cars in front of the fine cathedral, but these bright red spots bring such liveliness to the photo that they really deserve their place in the picture.

Piekna jest ta slynna katedra. Piekna prosciutka perspektywa. Ladna kompozycja, w ktorej dobrze graja czerwone samochody i sylwetka turystu z zadarta glowa. Swietne czyste swiatlo i takie same kolory.

Bardzo dobra pinowa kompozycyjka. Podoba mi sie, ze tak duzo nieba nad katedra. Auta jakbys postawil specjalnie przed katedra. Fajnie kontrastuja ze stara architektura.

Czolem Mikolaj!
Zdaje sie, ze w Portugalii funkcjonuje powiedzenie, ze cos jest stare jak katedra w Bradze. Katedra zaiste robi kolosalne wrazenie, piekna, elegancka architektura. Smieszne te aniolki wiszace na slupach. Skoro kwiecien, to moze okres przed Wielanoca?
