Photographer’s Note

Covão da Ametade is a large glacier valey that sits in one of the sides of our highest mountain, Serra da Estrela.
The photo shows a small leisure area right at the begining of the valey. The water is cristal clear, and at the far of the photo it jumps down in a small waterfall.
Being the only place with snow in Portugal, the mountain is crowded on weekends, so we took a day off and went there on a Wednesday, when we could enjoy it with tranquility.
