On the cliff at Sagres in the far southwest of Portugal there were a dozen fihserman all perched on the cliffs rod fishing. They were all about 15-20m above sea level with a rough sea on day I was there.

Superb pic - great sense of the power of nature; the scale of the man in the shot, the 'frozen' water - excellent!

Superb shot with great timming. This is not somewhere I would want to fish!!! This light is really good here and the framing works well, just the right elements in the shot. Good colors and contrasts. Well done.

What a spot to fish ! I just can't understand how fishes could swim in such a rough sea and bite to the hook. This guy looks so relax and secure on this cliff.
Your camera settings are very good, the water is not overblown and still we can see a lot of details in the rock.
composition is good too with the fisherman placed in the right third of the picture.
I like that red cap and sweather coming out of his coat, it adds a bright touch to the pic. Well done.

Hi Colin,
As Nina gave her full concise review (as she always does!), I won't be repepting after her.
Technically superb shot and I'm happy for you!
Thanks for sharing!

Ok... Somepeople can risk their live for a simple fish! I prefer to go to growcery.

Very nice shot. The wave's splash create a motion in the picture.

Nic work.

nice capture the water really gives you the feeling of anture's power. am no expert in fishing just wondering how he can catch fish with that raging sea...:-)

Excellent photo, Colin. Very well composed and framed, with those powerfull waves contrasting beautifully with the fisherman and the cliffs. Very well done!

Great capture Colin the timing was perfect, nothing seems to stop him from getting the fish. This one goes straight to my favorites
